Katie Goddard Class of 2018

During the H&W Program, I interned with BWBR in Minneapolis and experienced working on healthcare projects for the first time. I mostly worked with Planners on Critical Access Hospitals and learned how to Benchmark. I found that planning a healthcare department/building was like solving a complex puzzle, except there were endless solutions. I loved it and left my internship feeling like I had found my purpose in architecture. Upon graduation I accepted my dream job with Hammel Green & Abrahamson (HGA) in their Healthcare Department in Milwaukee. I am currently on the Planning track and specifically have been working on Inpatient design, and love it. I have been able to help plan two new hospitals (inpatient buildings), renovate a Labor & Delivery department at a local hospital, work on a billion-dollar hospital project, and more.
