Brian Giebink Class of 2010

KU’s Health & Wellness program introduced me to an area of architecture that combines my interest in human-centered design with creative intellect to shape healthcare spaces essential to our communities. Shortly after graduating, I relocated to Minneapolis as a healthcare architect with HDR where I discovered the intricacies and challenges related to designing therapeutic, safe and restorative behavioral health environments. I’ve had many rewarding opportunities since joining HDR, including designing some of the world’s largest healthcare facilities, working abroad, and leading HDR’s behavioral health design studio, where I focus my energy on behavioral health design and planning.
